Getting Bigger

The quilt is getting bigger! I still haven't bought any backing material or batting. I'm trying to figure out how heavy I want this quilt, because though it does get cold in my apartment, the valley gets record breaking heat waves in the summer. So far I'm leaning towards a cotton/poly blend, but we shall see. I've been playing with the idea of making this a double sided quilt. Part of me just wants to have it be brown on the other side, but then another part of me wants to make big squares of the material on the front, in the back. I might make it brown with a few patches here and there, but I'm still not sure yet. My hands are working faster than my brain is right now.
