Cupcake Pincushion: Attempt #1

You just gotta know when to stop sometimes. I tried to make a cupcake pincushion, but it just wasn't going to happen. I knew that my fabrics were a little too busy going into this project, but I thought if it did work, it would be really cute. So, I tried and well... no.





The shape was all wrong too. I really wanted to sew the entire thing using my machine, but a project like this needs lots of hand work. I think I'll try again using felt and possibly beads for the sprinkles. Ideas are formulating for attempt #2 and so far, they all sound promising.
